Method
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Step 2: In a large bowl, mix together the shredded chicken, pineapple tidbits, mozzarella cheese, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Step 3: Carefully slice the Hawaiian rolls in half, keeping the top and bottom halves connected.
- Step 4: Place the bottom halves of the rolls in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Step 5: Spread the chicken mixture evenly over the bottom halves of the rolls.
- Step 6: Place the top halves of the rolls on top of the chicken mixture.
- Step 7: Combine the melted butter and poppy seeds in a small bowl. Brush this mixture over the tops of the rolls.
- Step 8: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes.
- Step 9: Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
- Step 10: Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
- Step 11: Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 3-4 days.
