Easy Apple Crisp Bites

There's something so comforting about the smell of baked apples and cinnamon wafting through your kitchen. These delightful little treats are super easy to whip up and make for a perfect snack or dessert that everyone will love!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 medium apples peeled and diced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice helps keep apples from browning
  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats adds a chewy texture
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar for sweetness
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon warm spice for flavor
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour binds ingredients together
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts optional, walnuts or pecans
  • Pinch of salt to enhance flavors

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Step 2: In a mixing bowl, combine the diced apples and lemon juice. Toss to coat the apples evenly and set aside.
  3. Step 3: In a separate bowl, mix together the oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, flour, melted butter, chopped nuts (if using), and a pinch of salt until well combined.
  4. Step 4: Place the diced apples in a greased muffin tin, filling each cup about halfway.
  5. Step 5: Spoon the oat mixture over the apples, filling the cups to the top.
  6. Step 6: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the apples are tender.
  7. Step 7: Allow to cool for a few minutes before removing from the muffin tin.
  8. Step 8: Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

These bites are best enjoyed fresh, but if you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave for a few seconds to enjoy warm again!
