Ingredients

  • 8 ounces silver tequila or blanco or reposado
  • 2 cups frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup frozen limeade concentrate
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup more to taste
  • 1 cup ice
  • Lime wedges for rimming and garnish
  • Margarita salt or coarse salt
  • Fresh berries for garnish

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Glasses
  • Small plate

Method

  1. Step 1: Grab your favorite margarita glasses. Run a lime wedge around the rim of each glass to get it nicely moistened.
  2. Step 2: Pour some margarita salt onto a small plate. Dip the moistened rim of each glass into the salt, rolling gently to get an even coating. Set the glasses aside.
  3. Step 3: Into your blender goes the good stuff: the silver tequila, both the frozen and fresh strawberries, the frozen limeade concentrate, the simple syrup, and the ice.
  4. Step 4: Pop the lid on and blend until everything is completely smooth. Let the blender really work its magic!
  5. Step 5: Taste it! Carefully remove the lid and take a small sip. Add additional tequila or simple syrup as desired until it's exactly how you like it. Give it another quick blend to incorporate any additions.
  6. Step 6: Carefully pour the beautifully blended margarita mix into each of your prepared, salt-rimmed glasses.
  7. Step 7: Garnish each glass with a fresh lime wedge and maybe float a fresh strawberry in there too.
  8. Step 8: Serve immediately and soak up that deliciousness.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container and freeze. Re-blend with a tiny splash of liquid when ready to serve again. Ensure frozen strawberries are truly frozen for the best texture. Don't skip the tasting step to adjust sweetness and potency.
