Ingredients
  

For the Casserole
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 4 cups frozen hash browns
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup 10.5 oz
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika optional
  • for garnish fresh parsley optional

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Step 2: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent.
  3. Step 3: In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture with the frozen hash browns, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, salt, pepper, and paprika (if using). Mix until everything is well combined.
  4. Step 4: Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  5. Step 5: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the casserole.
  6. Step 6: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Step 7: Once out of the oven, let it sit for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, then serve warm.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
