- Step 1: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced kielbasa and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove the kielbasa from the skillet and set aside.
- Step 2: In the same skillet, add the diced onion and red bell pepper. Sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Step 3: Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir to combine, ensuring to scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Step 4: Bring the mixture to a simmer and add the cheese tortellini. Cook according to the package instructions, usually about 3-5 minutes, until the tortellini are tender.
- Step 5: Stir in the frozen peas and cooked kielbasa. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
- Step 6: Remove from heat. Garnish with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve warm and enjoy your creamy kielbasa tortellini skillet!
