Ingredients

  • 8-10 pieces lobster tail medallions or chunks steamed or boiled
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes optional
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • lemon wedges for garnish
For the Dipping Sauce
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • pinch parsley
  • pinch sea salt

Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Small Bowl

Method

  1. Step 1: Grab a saucepan. Add the 1/3 cup of unsalted butter and melt over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for just 1–2 minutes, until fragrant but not browned.
  2. Step 2: Stir in the fresh lemon juice and, if using, the crushed red pepper flakes. Season with salt and black pepper to your liking.
  3. Step 3: Carefully add your cooked lobster medallions or chunks to the pan. Gently toss them around to coat every piece in the garlic butter sauce.
  4. Step 4: Keep the heat on low and let the lobster simmer for about 3–5 minutes to soak up the flavor without cooking further.
  5. Step 5: Arrange the garlic butter lobster bites in a shallow bowl, drizzling any remaining sauce over the top. Finish with a generous sprinkle of freshly chopped parsley.
  6. Step 6: For the dipping sauce, whisk together the 1/4 cup of melted butter, 1 tsp of lemon juice, a pinch of parsley, and a pinch of sea salt in a small separate bowl. Place this bowl in the center of the lobster bites and garnish with fresh lemon wedges. Serve immediately.

Notes

Avoid overcooking the lobster; the simmering step is only for warming and infusing flavor. Use fresh garlic and lemon juice for the best taste. These bites are best enjoyed warm, right after preparing them. If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1-2 days and reheat gently to prevent overcooking. This versatile garlic butter sauce also works wonderfully with cooked shrimp, scallops, or crab meat. Feel free to adjust the spice level with more or less red pepper flakes, or try other fresh herbs like dill or chives. A sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese can add a savory depth, or you can serve these over pasta, creamy polenta, or rice to make it a more substantial meal.
