Method
- Step 1: In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish to form an even layer for the crust.
- Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth and creamy.
- Step 3: In another bowl, whip the heavy cream and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. This step is key to achieving that light texture.
- Step 4: Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully combined. Be careful not to deflate the whipped cream; we want it to stay fluffy!
- Step 5: Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the graham cracker crust. Layer half of the sliced strawberries on top of the cream cheese mixture. Repeat with the remaining cream cheese mixture and then top with the remaining strawberries.
- Step 6: Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to allow it to set. This is where the magic happens!
- Step 7: Slice into squares and serve chilled. Enjoy your delightful no-bake dessert!
Notes
To keep your dessert fresh, store it covered in the refrigerator. It will last for about 3-4 days, although I doubt it will last that long once everyone gets a taste!
