Method
- Step 1: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the sliced onions and cook, stirring frequently, until they are caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.
- Step 2: Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks.
- Step 3: Stir in the garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Step 4: Preheat your oven broiler. Place the hamburger buns on a baking sheet and spoon the beef mixture onto the bottom halves.
- Step 5: Top each with shredded mozzarella cheese and broil until the cheese is melted and bubbly, about 2-3 minutes.
- Step 6: Remove from the oven, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve immediately.
Notes
These Sloppy Joes are best enjoyed fresh, but if you have leftovers, keep the beef mixture in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stove or in the microwave before serving.
