- Step 1: Crush 36 Oreo cookies into fine crumbs. Mix with 1/2 cup melted butter and press into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish to form the crust.
- Step 2: In a bowl, beat together softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth. Fold in half of the whipped topping and spread over the crust.
- Step 3: In a separate bowl, whisk together chocolate pudding mix and 2 3/4 cups of milk. Pour over the cream cheese layer and spread evenly.
- Step 4: Spread the remaining whipped topping over the chocolate pudding layer.
- Step 5: Garnish with mini chocolate chips and additional crushed Oreo cookies if desired.
- Step 6: Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Step 7: Once chilled, slice into squares and serve.
Notes
Chilling overnight enhances the flavor. Store tightly covered in the refrigerator for 3 to 5 days.
