Method
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, stir together melted butter and granulated sugar until combined. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Step 3: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Step 4: Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
- Step 5: Fold in chopped Snickers bars, tossing pieces with a bit of flour beforehand to prevent sinking.
- Step 6: Pour batter evenly into prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Step 7: Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Check doneness with a toothpick; it should come out with moist crumbs but not wet batter for fudgy brownies.
- Step 8: Let brownies cool in the pan for about 10 minutes to set.
- Step 9: Drizzle caramel sauce generously over the top, then sprinkle with chopped peanuts. Add chocolate chips if desired.
- Step 10: Slice into squares and serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
Store brownies at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 3 days, in the fridge for up to a week, or freeze up to 3 months. Warm slightly before serving for best texture. Try swapping Snickers for other candy bars or adding peanut butter swirls for variation.
