Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb chicken breast cut into cubes or strips
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 bag frozen crinkle-cut fries cooked according to package
  • 4 burrito-size flour tortillas warmed
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup white queso sauce warmed
Seasonings
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
Parmesan Garlic Sauce
  • Parmesan garlic sauce enough to coat the chicken

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Oven or Air Fryer
  • Microwave or Skillet for warming tortillas

Method

  1. Step 1: Cut chicken breast into small, uniform cubes or strips. Cook frozen crinkle-cut fries in the oven or air fryer according to package instructions until crispy and golden.
  2. Step 2: In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Add chicken pieces and season evenly with salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Stir frequently, cooking for 8 to 10 minutes until chicken is browned and cooked through (internal temperature 165°F/74°C).
  3. Step 3: Pour enough Parmesan garlic sauce over the cooked chicken to coat all pieces evenly. Stir gently to combine, then remove skillet from heat.
  4. Step 4: Warm flour tortillas in the microwave for about 30 seconds or gently heat in a dry skillet until pliable. Warm the white queso sauce until silky smooth.
  5. Step 5: Lay each warmed tortilla flat. Sprinkle a generous layer of shredded mozzarella cheese down the center. Add a portion of crispy fries, then spoon on the Parmesan garlic chicken. Drizzle warm white queso sauce over the top.
  6. Step 6: Fold in the sides of the tortilla toward the center and roll tightly from bottom to top, sealing all fillings inside.
  7. Step 7: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Place burritos seam-side down and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Step 8: Remove burritos from skillet and let rest for 1 to 2 minutes before serving. Enjoy immediately, optionally with fresh salsa or a crisp side salad.

Notes

Substitutions include using cooked rotisserie chicken, grilled shrimp, or crispy tofu for protein. Try different cheeses like pepper jack or cheddar blends. Swap fries with sweet potato fries or tater tots. Add veggies like sautéed bell peppers or spinach inside the burrito. Store leftovers wrapped tightly in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze up to 2 months.
