  • 2 14 oz packages beef Little Smokies mini smoked sausages
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce use your favorite kind
  • 1 cup canned pineapple chunks with juice
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp onion powder
Optional Garnish
  • chopped green onions for garnish

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Place the Little Smokies evenly in the slow cooker.
  2. Step 2: Add the pineapple chunks along with their juice over the smokies. Do not drain the juice.
  3. Step 3: Pour the BBQ sauce evenly over the top; do not stir.
  4. Step 4: Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly, then add the soy sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder without stirring.
  5. Step 5: Cover and cook on low for 2.5 hours.
  6. Step 6: After cooking, gently stir to coat the smokies in the sauce.
  7. Step 7: Serve with tongs in a bowl and garnish with chopped green onions if desired.

Notes

For a lighter option, swap beef Little Smokies with turkey or chicken. Try spicy or honey BBQ sauces to vary flavor. Add extras like bell peppers, ginger, or toasted sesame seeds for more texture and taste. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
