Ingredients

For the Smoked Salmon Pasta
  • 8 oz pasta fettuccine or linguine
  • 4 oz smoked salmon
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp capers rinsed and drained
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill chopped
  • Salt and pepper
  • Grated Parmesan cheese
  • Lemon wedges

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Large Pot

Method

  1. Step 1: Start by cooking the pasta according to the package instructions until it's al dente. Drain and set it aside.
  2. Step 2: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until it becomes fragrant.
  3. Step 3: Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Stir in the rinsed capers and chopped dill, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Step 4: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing it well to coat in the creamy sauce.
  5. Step 5: Gently fold in the smoked salmon, allowing it to warm through without cooking it further.
  6. Step 6: Serve immediately, garnished with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and lemon wedges for that extra zing.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. When reheating, add a splash of cream or water to keep the sauce creamy and prevent it from drying out.
