For the Sour Patch Grapes
  • 1 lb seedless grapes green or red
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon citric acid optional

Equipment

  • Medium Saucepan
  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper

Method

  1. Step 1: Wash the grapes thoroughly under cold water. Pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
  2. Step 2: In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, lemon juice, and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely.
  3. Step 3: If you're using citric acid, stir it into the sugar mixture now.
  4. Step 4: Once the mixture is cool, dip each grape into the mixture, ensuring they are fully coated.
  5. Step 5: After coating the grapes, roll them in granulated sugar.
  6. Step 6: Place the coated grapes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze for about 1-2 hours until firm.
  7. Step 7: Once frozen, serve the sour patch grapes as a refreshing snack or dessert.
