Ingredients

For the Sticky Honey Garlic Pork
  • 1 lb pork tenderloin cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water to mix with cornstarch
  • 2 green onions sliced for garnish
  • Sesame seeds
  • Cooked rice

Equipment

  • Large Skillet or Frying Pan
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Small Bowl

Method

  1. Step 1: In a mixing bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Stir well to combine.
  2. Step 2: Add the bite-sized pieces of pork tenderloin to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well-coated. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
  3. Step 3: In a large skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat, add the marinated pork (reserve the marinade for later). Cook the pork for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
  4. Step 4: In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Once the pork is cooked, pour the reserved marinade into the skillet. Bring to a simmer, and then stir in the cornstarch slurry. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce thickens and becomes sticky.
  5. Step 5: Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve the sticky honey garlic pork over cooked rice.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Just reheat gently on the stove to maintain that delicious stickiness!
