  • 1 cup wild berry jam The star of the show, bursting with fruity goodness.
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts optional, for those who love a little crunch!

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9 inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix well until evenly distributed.
  3. Step 3: Pour the melted butter into the dry ingredients and mix until it forms a crumbly mixture. Reserve about 1/2 cup of this mixture for the topping.
  4. Step 4: Press the remaining mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  5. Step 5: Evenly spread the wild berry jam over the pressed base. If desired, sprinkle chopped nuts on top of the jam.
  6. Step 6: Crumble the reserved mixture evenly over the jam layer.
  7. Step 7: Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the jam is bubbly.
  8. Step 8: Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes. Slice into squares or bars.
